Lake Amador is an elite fishery for anglers seeking trophy largemouth bass and rainbow trout. The lake consistently produces bass weighing 10 pounds or more and is considered one of the best in the region for big bass. Amador's trout fishing is equally impressive, thanks to the lake's hatchery which stocks gorgeous Rainbows, Cutbows, and Amador Golds. These trout grow quickly and can reach double digits in just over a year.

While bass and trout are the primary draw at Amador, anglers can also target giant catfish exceeding 30 pounds. Catfish action is best during the warm late summer months when trout move deeper and bass become less active. Crappie and bluegill fishing is also available.

One unique aspect of Lake Amador is its 24/7 access, allowing anglers to fish at any time, including at night during the hot summer months. Please note that there are fees for vehicles, boat launching, and other amenities.
