Rancho Seco Park is located approximately 25 miles outside of Sacramento, and offers 600 acres full of outdoor recreation. The centerpiece is the 160-acre Rancho Seco Lake. Bass, crappie and bluegill are the main attraction for anglers during warmer months. Keep in mind, all bass are catch and release. The CDFW schedules multiple trout stocks throughout late-winter and early spring. These trout not only provide fishing for cold weather anglers, but also act as food for a thriving population of big largemouth.

Kayaks and electric motored boats are allowed (no gas motors). Camping, boat rentals, and a general store are also available lakeside.
