Skunked on Thursday, but I put too much effort into top water (got one strike only). On Friday, slowly switched to finesse fishing throughout the day, and finally got a decent spotted on a Texas-rigged creature bait (Zoom Lizard) that I was slowly dragging on the bottom. The best trout action has been in the early mornings using shad-colored spoons or spinners. Spotted bass activity is also improving with the cooler temps. Dropshots, T-rigged Roboworms, and small flukes are all getting attention. Fishing should only improve over the next few weeks.
