Fishing reports for New Bullards Bar

Kokanee are moving deeper as the water temperature continues to warm, but the bite is still on. Trollers are pulling spinners and spoons in orange and/or pink up to 60 feet. Catch size is improving with a couple of 14 inchers reported. Spotted bass action is still good on smaller finesse plastics and swimbaits.

The spotted bass are here and biting! Smaller fish in numbers are being caught off points and drop-off transitions on soft-plastics either drop-shotting or on a shaky head. A few big ones over 6 pounds were caught on swimbaits.

Still a lot of small Kokanee around the lake. Trollers are targeting between 20-40 feet with orange hoochies or spinners. But for size you may need to look elsewhere.

Small Kokanee seem to be everywhere, but keeper schools have been much tougher to locate. Many anglers are trolling as deep as 40+ feet with smaller spoons and spinners. Water temperature is still slightly chilly, but the warmer April temperatures should kick off the spring spotted bass bite very shortly.
