The spotted bass are here and biting! Smaller fish in numbers are being caught off points and drop-off transitions on soft-plastics either drop-shotting or on a shaky head. A few big ones over 6 pounds were caught on swimbaits. Still a lot of small Kokanee around the lake. Trollers are targeting...

The spotted bass are here and biting! Smaller fish in numbers are being caught off points and drop-off transitions on soft-plastics either drop-shotting or on a shaky head. A few big ones over 6 pounds were caught on swimbaits.

Still a lot of small Kokanee around the lake. Trollers are targeting between 20-40 feet with orange hoochies or spinners. But for size you may need to look elsewhere.

Anglers are catching Kokanee trolling near 35 feet, but most are no bigger than 10 inches. The larger fish have moved upriver to spawn. Bullards Bar is currently at 73 percent of capacity, 14% higher than average.
