Lake Pardee is set to open on Valentine’s Day weekend, but like other East Bay MUD-managed waters, boats won’t be allowed due to golden mussel regulations. That means it’s strictly bank fishing for now. Typically, the lake gets a heavy trout plant ahead of the opener, however, there’s no official word yet on when or whether they'll be stocking. For now, it’s a wait-and-see situation, but if they do stock, the first few days should offer some solid action.
As the season winds down (with November 10 being the last day), bass fishing has been mediocre at best. Mostly smaller fish have been caught on slow finesse worming (ned or dropshot) or by tossing soft plastics into the weeds. Kokanee action is over as they’ve moved to upriver to spawn.
Pardee is back open! The lake is now unexpectedly open for the month of July due to a delay in the contractor receiving certain parts for the water treatment system construction. Boat launch is between 6am-4pm. No launches after 4pm. Boats must be off the water by 1/2 hour after sunset. The situation is fluid, so we'll provide updates as they come.
