Bass fishing at Seccombe can be challenging due to the explosion of weeds in the summer, and unpredictable underwater terrain. These conditions, though challenging, provide ideal hiding spots and hunting grounds for bass. Most bass caught here range between 1-2 pounds, but anglers occasionally reel in larger ones, weighing over 5 pounds.

The water visibility is usually stained green, but the colder months can improve the clarity. Seccombe Lake also hosts a thriving carp population, some weighing over 10 pounds.

Fished on 8/7/26. Lots of jumping carp but only one bass caught while slow trolling structure changes. Water visibility low. No action with finesse baits and even live night...

Trout bite is non existent but it's to be expected deep in to summer as we are. Me and a buddy finally caught some small mouth bass though and I got my first 2 crappie...
