Lake Evans Fishing Overview

Water Description

Tucked away at the northern end of Riverside, Lake Evans is a prime location for kayak or canoe fishing all year round. The winter and spring seasons offer excellent trout fishing from both the shore and boat. Trout are consistently stocked during the cooler months. Do note, however, that motorized boats and inflatables are not allowed. Thanks to the vast amount of catfish added over the years, the lake's warm-season catfish fishery is top-notch, especially for catching larger fish. Thanks to the vast amount of catfish added over the years, the lake's warm-season catfish fishery is top-notch, especially for catching larger fish. Evans also annually hosts catfish derbies, attracting anglers from all over the region. While bass fishing can be very good, it tends to offer more in quantity rather than size. Additionally, crappie, carp, and round out Lake Evan’s diverse fishery.
