Trout stockings have concluded for all East Bay lakes, and although the occasional holdover has been caught at Temescal, the trout season is largely over. However, the bass action is picking up. Anglers throwing soft-plastic baits near the weed lines are catching some decent fish up to 3 pounds. The bluegill bite is in full swing, but most are dinks.
Despite being stocked the first week of February, fishing has been slow due to suboptimal water clarity. As the weather improves so should the fishing.
