Paradise Lake for its lush surroundings and quality fishing. The lake inhabits largemouth, spotted, and redeye bass, as well as a resident population of catfish. Rainbow trout are stocked (typically in spring) by the CDFW, and a few big brown trout also reside in the lake.

The boat season at Paradise spans from April through November, when fishing for bass and catfish is best (the warmer the weather, the better). While gas motors are prohibited on the lake, electric motors and kayaks/canoes are allowed. There are fees for both day use and boat launching. Anglers can fish from the shore all year round, which is advantageous for those targeting larger trout during the colder months.
