Bass action has been quite good for a lot of fishermen using a variety of techniques. Drop shots and t-rigged plastics have been most consistent throughout the day. Although there's also been very good topwater and reaction bait action (crankbait, lipless) in the early mornings and late evenings for healthy 2-3 pound fish.
Anglers are also reporting a fair catfish bite in the evenings on nightcrawlers and chicken livers. Crappie are still on the prowl, targeting small Rapalas and jigs.
The water levels are high and stable. And both the largemouth and crappie are loving it. Bass action has been good with soft plastics and swimbaits, although not too many fish over 3 pounds. The crappie bite is currently excellent. Look for structure in as deep of water as possible.
