A lot of small trout were caught today. All are back out in the lake but no more stocking this summer because of water temperature. They are also doing dredging to improve the lake
CFW keeps stocking dink fish but I have caught more than 20 in a morning. Use small hemostats to remove the hooks and I haven't killed any. There has to be larger trout in there
Irvine was not stocked this past week due to the road being too muddy for the truck. Fishing for trout was very slow on the West Shore. The lake was only open this Sunday.
Trout were stocked on Tuesday. It was slow at first but managed 4 trout over 2.5 lbs. The lake was packed. My other trout were released as they were unharmed.
Rainbow trout are hitting now. Power bait was the bigger success but plastics showed good results. Various color combinations worked
I read they stocked this lake, but the fish are not biting at all. Remember this lake becomes extremely windy about 9:30 in the morning.
