Glen Helen Park Fishing Report

Both lakes will be closed and receiving a fresh stock on Thursday, November 21. The trout bite has already been good following the earlier stock this month. PowerBait remains a staple for these stockers, but some anglers are finding success with small spoons or night crawlers. The bass bite is fair, with mostly smaller fish hitting finesse plastics or small reaction baits. Catfish are still available.

Glen Helen received another round of catfish stockings on August 8th, although folks have been catching plenty of cats over the last few weeks at both lakes. This stock will only improve an already good bite. Chicken liver and prawns.

Bass action has been best in the mornings, either on brightly colored senkos, jerkbaits, or crankbaits. Slowly finessing plastic worms can work during the tough midday heat as well.
