Eagle Lake Fishing Report
View the latest Eagle Lake fishing report updates for current conditions, tips, and updates.
Snow and icy conditions this week are limiting many boaters from hitting the water. Shore casters are still pulling quality eagle trout soaking Powerbait and inflated night crawlers. Access will only get tougher with single-digit temps and snow in the forecast. Marina store is closed until spring.
The bite at Eagle Lake has been strong, especially in the mornings, though it slows as the day goes on. The lake is full of bait, with trout following these bait balls into shallower waters, around 20-30 feet. Spoons and Humdingers are landing fish up to 5 pounds, all looking chunky and healthy. The bite will only improve as fall approaches.
The fishing has been thrown off lately by the change in water color, turning it a murky green. Many daily/weekly local fishermen are hanging up their gear until conditions improve, as the action all over the lake has slowed to sporadic at best. The east side has the best clarity if you do decide to hit the water.
