Grubs, drop-shotting, and small swimbaits are still what's hot, but some anglers are finding an explosive topwater bite in the early mornings. White bass have also been quite active, hitting the same baits used for the spots. Crappie and catfish action has been fair.
No trout plants recently, but anglers are still finding healthy holdovers upwards of 3+ pounds. The bass bite has been consistent on soft-plastics, but no reports of anything large.

The spotted bass bite at Nacimiento continues to be spectacular, and they are biting everything. Top-water has been the most fun, but folks are catching'em dropshotting, throwing swimbaits, and slow rolling curly tailed soft-plastics. Fish are everywhere north of 30 feet. The white bass bite is also good using anything resembling baitfish. Consistent catfish action as well on cut bait in quieter flat coves.
Plenty of action for bass anglers at Santa Margarita recently. It's been more about numbers than size though. Dropshotting and soft plastics are getting bit like crazy, with 15-20 fish days being common. Not many big fish reported though. CDFW stocked trout in January, but no plant news since.
Lopez hasn't been stocked in a few months, but trouts anglers are still getting fish. Numbers aren't high, but most trout caught are over 2.5 to 3 pounds. Live worms have been the ticket.
