Water temps are sitting in the mid-high 70s at Miramar, and water levels are extremely high. The lake edges are covered with live and dead tule, which can be good or bad depending on how you plan to fish the lake. T-rigged soft plastic worms, Senkos, and punch baits are all getting fish if you can throw them deep into those tules... but getting into the back of these areas can be tough in bigger boats. Kayaks, small boats, and shore guys have the best access. A good number of fish are in open water as well, hitting jerkbaits, Flukes, and live shiners which you can buy at nearby tackle shops (Lemon and East County). Not a lot of big fish being caught... mostly 1-2 pounders with the occasional 3-4.
