Quality bass are active and primarily targeting shad, so shad-imitating lures and colors are performing best. A-Rigs and swimbaits are pulling bites, primarily in open water near boils. Quality bass are active and primarily targeting shad, so shad-imitating lures and colors are performing best. A-Rigs and swimbaits are pulling bites, primarily in open water near boils. Folks are also finding fish drop-shotting in 10-30 feet, particularly with purple and orange/brown robo worms. Closer to the bank/tules, spinnerbaits, jigs, and Texas-rigged robo worms are getting hit. Most fish are 1-2 pounds, but 3-4 pounders have been common.
