Dixon Lake is hot right now for both springtime bass and rainbow stockers. Trout have been getting planted about every two weeks since the new year, with another 1,000 pounds dropped last Wednesday. Limits are coming near the buoy line and in the back of coves on PowerBait and pink Floating Trout Worms.
The bass bite at Dixon is officially on—for both size and numbers. Drophots and Senkos are producing good numbers up to 3 pounds, while bigger fish are coming on glide baits and topwater frogs along the tule edges. A 6+ pounder was caught a couple days ago. Expect the bite to stay hot as bass feed up and ease into spawn patterns.
