Dixon Lake received a generous CDFW trout plant just before Thanksgiving, and anglers have been reaping the rewards ever since. Limits have been common for those throwing jigs or mice tails (on a dropshot), especially during the early mornings.
The influx of stocker trout is also stirring up Dixon’s trophy-sized bass. While most bass are transitioning from the shallows to deeper water (dropshotting in 20+ feet has been best) this is prime time to break out those giant trout-style swimbaits for a shot at hooking one of Dixon’s legendary behemoth bass.
