Lake McSwain Fishing Overview
Water Description
Lake McSwain, a 310-acre reservoir, serves as Lake McClure's afterbay. Regularly stocked with rainbow trout but also holds brown and brook trout, as well as salmon and bass. 10 mph limit keeps waters calm and suitable for fishing. Anglers often troll or hike the shores to find deep spots to cast to. There are trout derbies typically in spring and fall. The lake record: 17.5-lb, 34-inch rainbow trout. No swimming allowed. Marina café and kayak rentals are available as well.
