Camanche was stocked with a hefty 3,500 pounds of trout (3,000 rainbow, 500 lightning) on May 2, and looks to be the final plant of the season. Both trollers and shore-casters are getting plenty of action... spoon-type lures for trollers, Powerbait, mice tails & night crawlers from shore.

A couple of double-digit bass were reported as of late. Most fish are shallow and still in spawn mode. The bigger females are holding a bit deeper.

Today, Camanche also stocked 4,000 fingerling Florida strain largemouth bass, supporting their healthy bass population into the future.
