Chuck Wolf from WON reports Temescal is shaping up nicely after a rough couple of weeks when the weather left it blown out and stained. With 1,000 pounds of Lassen trout stocked mid-week, anglers are reporting solid action. These fish are in excellent condition, with most weighing 1-3 pounds, but bigger ones are out there too—highlighted by a 7.6-pounder taken on a jig from the main dock. Deep water has been key, with spoons in pink, yellow/orange, and red producing well. Bait anglers are doing well also, and the weekend looks promising, especially with improved shoreline access thanks to a major park district cleanup.
