Lake Chabot’s holding at 74 degrees, with bass, catfish, and panfish all very active. Bass are running 1–3 lbs, with the best action on dark-colored Senkos, green football jigs, and small swimbaits. Dropshots, especially pink, are reportedly picking off both bass and the occasional quality holdover trout near Alder Point.

Catfish action has been consistent on cut bait, boosted by ongoing EBRPD plants. Carp are pushing shallow in the mornings and evenings, and the docks are producing good-sized bluegill on small jigs or redworms.

An active algae danger advisory is in effect, with blooms along much of the shoreline. Keep an eye on conditions in case restrictions tighten.
