Persistence and preparation paid off. Caught this 16" long trout this morning about 9:15 am in the shady side of lake using a carolina rig. Proves there are still some trout swimming around in there!

Mid-morning Carolina rigs with scented powerbait and casted spinners on north shore with rocks and vegetation. No luck. Moved to dock in afternoon. Same strategy, same result. Other anglers were present on and off throughout the day. Lake has some buzz but strikes appeared elusive today.

Fished on west side of lake this morning (by golf park) using spin lures and carolina rig... all I got was skunked. Beautiful day though. 😊
