Woodward Reservoir covers 2,900 acres with 23 miles of shoreline and is set amidst the foothills just north of Oakdale. In 2004, the lake was completely drained then restocked in 2006 with now thriving populations of bass, rainbow trout, catfish, and sunfish.

The highlight for many anglers at Woodward is the rainbow trout, especially during the colder months when they are frequently stocked. Early summer ignites good bass fishing as anglers take advantage of the many dips and coves along the shoreline. For those pursuing catfish, the bite is consistent during summer months, especially in low-light conditions.
