Success is seeing some decent bass action right now with water temps hovering in the low 50s. There are visible groups of bass holding in 5-10 feet of water, tight to drop-offs near primary and secondary points. Live sonar has shown pods of 3-5 fish in that zone. Some nice 4-6 pound fish have been pulled out in these areas on crankbaits, jigs with craw trailers, and dropshots. At the same time, some fish are still hanging deeper in 20 to 30 feet, with a few coming up on A-rigs and lipless cranks.
Crappie around the marina are coming on jigs tipped with crawler pieces or redworms. Catfish is still a legitimate option on mackerel and garlic shrimp. The lake remains about a third full.
