Sonoma has been quiet since the storms hit a few weeks ago. Water temps are in the low 50s, and visibility is around 2 feet in most areas. Bass action is slow, but a few are being picked up off points or on submerged rock in 15-25 feet of water using shaky heads, drop-shots, and T-rigged worms. It’s primarily finesse fishing, although there’s a chance for a midday shallow spinnerbait bite if the sun is out. Hopefully, we’ll see better water clarity over the next few weeks.
A few anglers are tapping into the native trout (steelhead) action, but most are tight-lipped about their approach.
