Boated only 5 fish today, but it was an early day, and I was jumping around to a few other spots like Rattlesnake Island and Picnic Creek. Only 1 fish got the mugshot treatment today. Water temps dropped from nearly 80° on Wednesday, to 75.4° today.

Warm Springs side again today, it's the short side. Takes half the time as going up to Yorty Creek. But, I think I'll venture back up to Yorty next week. Boated 18 fish today. Still getting 'em on the Keitech 3.8 in elec blue/ chartreuse. Put one on an underspin to throw, around the shad schools, which are everywhere up there, right now. Also tried...

Had 1 blow up immediately on my 1st cast with a whopper plopper, but did not hook it....then nothing more on top. Still trying some other stuff like shad looking crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc....nothing on those today. The Keitech is stilling killing it. Water is warming up, back in the creeks, to almost 80 degrees. Fish are loving the bath water! It's a great time to out there! Good luck!

Lots of shad activity out there. I believe there are more schools of shad than feeding bass can handle. You can see the water "perculating" on top, with Lil silver shad jumping an inch or so out of the water. Boated 9 today. I think I hooked maybe 20 fish today, but had a poor landing ratio of under 50%. Had a lot of fun. The late bloomer spawners...

The late bloomer spawners are still spawning. We have our 4th set of spawning bass in our slip, on top of the dock's pillar. Fresh eggs sitting on the concrete pillar, like a light dusting of snow. More babies later this week! But I think most bass are moving into their post spawn feeding binge, I caught 3 fish on 4 casts, at one point, today. Still trying to entice a big one on some topwater stuff, but the Keitech 3.8" in elec blue / chartreuse just keeps em' biting. Also hooked 4 fish on a silver double willow bladed shad color spinner-bait 3/8oz, with a hog farmer (elec shad) 3.5" spunk shad trailer. All 4 fish escaped when they breached the water. Maybe I'm not setting the hook hard enough? Anyway, it was still a fun and active day, regardless of the escapees. Lol. It's a great time to get out there and fish! Good luck!
