With over 10,000 pounds of trout stocked so far this season—and another 2,100 pounds hitting the lake last week—the bite has been very consistent as of late. Limits have been coming out of Cloister and Hermit Coves, with mini jigs and nightcrawlers doing most of the damage. Chartreuse PowerBait, especially in garlic or glitter, has also been pulling in fish.

Catfish got more active with the recent rain, with multiple fish pulled from Siesta Cove on shiners and a chunky 20-pounder landed in Shadow Cove on mackerel.

Bass action has been somewhat slow. Senkos and soft plastics are getting the most action.
