The bass bite has finally unlocked. Fish are moving shallow preparing for spawn. Weightless worming and jerkbaits have been highly effective. The bigger females are staging deeper... something to consider if you're looking for that bigger bite. Trout action is still very good for both trollers and shore-casters. Kastmasters and Rapalas. Catfishing is good also.

It's worth noting, the Helix Water District reported they'll be dropping the lake over 20 feet by the end of April. This will have a drastic effect on the fishing.
