Lake Baron Fishing Overview

Water Description

Lake Baron offers year-round fishing for rainbow trout, but with strict regulations. Anglers must use barbless, artificial lures only, as bait is prohibited. Baron also operates under a catch-and-release policy for most of the year, with an exception made for the annual Fishing Derby. During July and August, a two-fish daily limit is allowed, though catch-and-release is still encouraged. The lake is strictly monitored by Paradise Park management and CDFW, and significant fines are imposed if rules are broken.
