Fished the Pines Mon, this is the second time I got 3 while the other 6-7 people around had no luck, including my friend didn’t.
Rented a boat Fri 4/4/25, trolled to Sandy Point, bait fish there awhile, headed to boat launch and tried there, nada both places. Went to Scow Canyon and got this 14 incher. Even though I only got one and my friend got nada, it was a beautiful day in the water, no wind, and plenty of sunshine.
Wednesday 3/26/25 rented a boat and caught these at Scow Canyon. Both hit so hard couldn’t even see the hooks inside their mouths, had to cut my leaders.
Was gonna fish the launch side opening day, March 8, but it’s still closed until April 5 so a friend and I went to the Pines. I think there are about eight people total around us and I was the only one that got lucky, I got three missed the fourth one because the leader broke at the hook. They were 13, 14, and 15 inches either Lassen or Calaveras...
