Lake Ming offers a solid warm water fishery for largemouth bass, catfish, carp, and crappie. The CDFW also stocks trout in the winter, typically from November through March. Boats are allowed on Lake Ming, but shoreline fishing is also easily accessible thanks to a concrete walking path that encircles the entire lake. Lake Ming has a reputation for harboring giant largemouth bass. The lake's max depth is only 20 feet, which keeps stocked trout shallow enough to be easily picked off by feeding largemouth. These trout provide the perfect nutrient profile for supporting double digit bass. Crappie fishing can also be very good at Lake Ming, especially during the transitional seasons of spring and fall.

Total of five in our party. Got 100% skunked! No bites. We did not see anyone else getting bites. Spoke with 3 other anglers who said the same thing. Tried everything, ZERO bites.
