Grant Lake Fishing Overview

Water Description

Grant Lake is part of the June Lake Loop and the largest of the four lakes in the area. It's regularly stocked with rainbow trout, but the lake is best known for producing trophy-sized brown trout. Trollers tend to have the most success at Grant Lake, though shore casters have also been known to catch rainbow limits, especially after a recent stock. A boat launch is located on the south end, with primitive campsites scattered around the lake.

Big browns have been making their appearance at Grant Lake recently. Trollers using spoons or Rapalas late in the day have the best chance of landing one, though it's not easy. Another rainbow trout stocking is projected for this week.
