Piru continues its excellent bass fishing this summer. Some local anglers say they are "biting everything," which is quite the high praise for any water. Most fish are under 3 pounds, but there was a report of a 10+ pounder caught two weeks ago. Squarebill crankbaits and topwater lures are a great place to start... then switch to finesse soft-plastics if the reaction bite slows. Jigs are also producing the biggest fish.
