Guide Justin Thompson reports the Trinity River is fishing well right now. Flows have dropped to 550 cfs and continue to fall, with clear water conditions bringing in fresh steelhead daily. Most fish are in the 6–7 lb range, but some are pushing 10–12 lbs. Side drifting cured steelhead eggs is highly effective, especially with light tackle. Clear water conditions are calling for light lines and ultralight rods.
