Santee Lakes are ready for spring recreation, and that includes fishing. A giant catfish stocking is set to happen shortly, with incentivized tagged fish (weigh them in for gift cards). Trout action is dwindling, but the bass bite is starting to ramp up. Storms have delayed spawning, but with warm weather the next couple weeks, bass should be shallow and hungry. Water isn't clear, so aim for visually noticeable lures and colors.
