Trout season is here! CDFW stocked Wohlford this week, kicking off the winter fishery (along with Lake Miramar and Lake Murray). Meanwhile, big catfish are the talk of the area, with a recent 30-pounder turning heads. Soaking chicken liver, mackerel or nightcrawlers is working best. The bass bite is slowing down as water temps drop into the high 50s, but small finesse baits are still getting a few smaller bites.
