Fall is in full swing at Murray, with water temps holding around 65 degrees and fish becoming more aggressive. Quality is notably picking up with most fish running 1.5 to 2 pounds, and some 3 to 4 pounders in the mix. But finesse baits are still the go-to. Small soft plastics that mimic shad are doing the most work... Flukes have been hot in the mornings, while dropshots rigged with 4.5” Robo Worms are getting bit throughout the day. We’re still about a month out from trout plants, but once they drop, expect those 6+ pound bass to start zeroing in on big trout-imitating swimbaits.
