After a slow start this spring, Murray is finally showing signs of its elite bass fishery. The bite has been picking up over the last few weeks, especially for bigger fish. Warming water is increasing their metabolism and activity level... and the payoff is more fish chasing a wider variety of lures. Soft plastics have still been the best, including Senkos, drop-shotting, and smaller creature baits. A subtle top-water bite in the morning has also sparked interest from anglers.

It's also worth noting panfish anglers are finding big bluegill and redear sunfish. Live worms and micro swimbaits have been hot.
