The water is dropping at Lake Hodges, and this is affecting bite consistency across the lake. Reports indicate that most bass are pulling away from the shoreline, chasing bait around the lake, making them hard to target. At the same time, some bank anglers are reporting excellent action casting from shore, especially in the evenings. Squarebill crankbaits, Keitech swimbaits, and drop shots are all getting bit by fish up to 4 pounds.
