Bass fishing at El Capitan has been very good lately. Fish are either in the late stages of spawn or chasing shad. For shad-chasing bass, use topwater lures, crankbaits, or shad-imitation swimbaits early in the morning. Texas-rigged soft plastics are working well for spawning bass and those holding closer to the shoreline.
