Water levels are on the rise after the recent storm, but solid post-storm reports have been limited. The lake saw a 5,000-pound trout plant in late October, but the trout bite never really took off. A few fish are getting picked off on PowerBait here and there, and some trollers are running into fish, but trout activity has been spotty overall. Most of the consistent action right now has been for striped bass, with schools showing up in good numbers near the Dam. Jerkbaits and swimbaits are producing, and anglers soaking cut bait are also getting fish.
Largemouth bass are still being caught, though the bite has leaned toward smaller fish. Most are coming off deep structure on dropshots, Ned rigs, and other slow, finesse-style presentations. It's winter mode.
