Silverwood is dealing with a thick algae bloom right now, complicating daytime bass fishing. The bass bite has been decent overall, with most success coming early and later in the day on Senkos or bigger, bright colored flukes. Striped bass action is improving, particularly at night, where white flukes, walking topwater baits, and jerkbaits are all getting action. During the day, smaller stripers are being caught on cut bait (along with catfish). A few folks are still trying for trout, but with 70-degree water temps, the bite has dwindled considerably.
