The trout bite at Big Bear Lake has slowed a bit, but anglers are still landing quality fish and a few limits. Mornings have been best, with trout hitting on Powerbait in yellow and purple, and Pinched Crawlers. Lure casters are still catching fish on spoons and spinners as well. Some areas along the shore are iced over early in the day, but access improves by mid to late morning.
