Water temps are sitting around 58 degrees in the afternoon, right on the brink of exploding into premier springtime action. Bass are beginning to cruise the shallows, and a few nice fish in the 5-pound range have been caught. But the consistent bite is still slow. Another warm weather spell (with warm nights) should push water temps over 60 degrees. Trout were stocked in early March, although anglers hit them hard. A few remainders can still be had.
