A lot of action at June Lake since opening day last weekend. Plenty of folks enjoyed the clear weather (not so much across the rest of the Sierras) and excellent fishing. Big fish was over 8 pounds, with a few 4-5 pounders caught as well. Small 2-inch swimbaits and orange mini jigs were getting some of the bigger fish. The bite should only get better as the weather warms and spring stockings continue.
