Pyramid’s bass bite is in a good place right now, with both largemouth and smallmouth hitting consistently… especially in the mornings. Jerkbaits are the go-to early, then it’s a finesse game, with drop-shots and Ned rigs doing most of the work once the sun climbs. Spinnerbaits and squarebills are also producing, especially around points and hard structure. Action tends to taper off around 11 a.m. Mostly 1–2-pound fish, but the occasional 4–5-pounder is being caught. Stripers are around but not overly dependable. Most folks are soaking frozen anchovies for either stripers or catfish, and getting a mix of both. Nothing big on the striper front.
