An unexpected cold front has dampened what should have already been an excellent spring for bass, but conditions are improving quickly. With forecasted daytime highs reaching 80°F and nightly lows in the mid-50s, water temperatures will steadily rise in the coming weeks. Fish should begin moving shallower and becoming much more aggressive as they prep for spawn.
Meanwhile, Striper fishing is picking up, particularly for anglers trolling swimbaits or large spoons in depths of 20-25 feet.
