The water is cooling off quite a bit from chilly fall temperatures, and Tahoe has quieted down with many summer boats gone for the winter. But the mackinaw bite has been anything but quiet. Consistent sizable macks (no dinks) are being caught throughout the day, and the bite can only get better. Another few weeks and a further drop in water temperature will ignite rainbow trout.
