The Smith is in good shape right now, back to fishable after earlier storms pushed it up and over 14 feet. Flows dropped fast and it’s looking good through Sunday before another bump is expected. A few fresh steelhead are still around, with some late spawners flushing downriver too. This comes via Kenny Priest of Fishing the North Coast, who also reports the main, middle, and south forks all remain open through April.
